The 2017 NMSC National Meeting will be held 25-26 September, 2017, in Dearborn, MI, part of the Detroit, MI metro area. The theme, “Modeling, Simulation, & Visualization: Importance in Manufacturing”, will address how MS&V technologies are changing the way industry is using M&S in engineering design and manufacturing, and how training and education institutions are changing to better provide the job-ready professionals industry need to power 21st Century engineering design and manufacturing. Expert panels will also address workforce development in healthcare.

The 2018 National meeting will be held in Omaha, Nebraska, in September 2018. Advance planning is well underway. A tentative theme is “Integrating and applying M&S technologies in Workforce Development programs and practices.”

The University of Nebraska – Lincoln and co-sponsor University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) will conduct a Track, “Advances in M&S in the Health Science: Opportunities for Collaboration” (AM&SiHS’2017) as part of the IEEE International Conference on Electro Information Technology (eit2017), to be held May 14-17, 2017, Lincoln, Nebraska. The 2017 AlaSim International Conference and Exposition will be held in Huntsville, AL on October 25, 2017. Organized by the Alabama Modeling and Simulation Council (AMSC), the event is designed to collect, document, display, and discuss the current state of simulation technology throughout the world. AlaSim covers all domains of M&S – this year, both Cyber Simulation and Medical Simulation will be showcased. AlaSim allows a variety of formats for attendees and participants to see, be seen, hear, be heard, teach, and learn about the science and technology of simulation. Elements planned for AlaSim 2017: plenary speakers, papers, project briefings, panel discussions, workshops, tutorials, and exhibits displaying simulation products and services.
